Artist Statement

Social Memory has great influence over the way our culture perceives its history.
I am fascinated by what we humans choose to remember, and what we choose to forget.

My work explores memory as a tool of personal and historical significance. I salvage archetypal images from dreams, memories and personal stories, drawing from the redundant myths and cultural symbols which shape the collective subconscious.

Generally without any predetermined direction, my work invokes an open interpretation of history, all the while maintaining a sense of familiarity.
